The NOVA Institute for Medical Systems Biology (NIMSB) was represented at the 1st National Conference of the Portuguese Association for Science Management, which took place on October 8th, 2025, at the University of Aveiro.

Our Financial Director, Alda Castro, and Head of the Project Management Office, Ana Tavares, attended this important event that brought together science management professionals, researchers, institutional representatives, and policymakers from across Portugal.

Organized jointly by the University of Aveiro and the Portuguese Association for Science Management, the conference provided a platform for dialogue, reflection, and collaborative discussion on the future of science management in Portugal. The event also marked the official launch of the Portuguese Association for Science Management, which aims to represent and connect professionals working in the areas of science, technology, and innovation management.

The creation of this association establishes a new platform for networking and cooperation, fostering stronger links between management professionals, research institutions, and decision-makers in the national scientific landscape.
