Last week, Dr. Cláudia Nunes dos Santos, Vice-Director for Science and Principal Investigator of the Molecular Health and Nutrition group at NIMSB, together with six members of her team, represented the institute at the Annual Conference of the Nutrition Society’s Phytochemical Special Interest Group, held at the University of Exeter.

Dr. Nunes dos Santos was invited as a keynote speaker, and her group contributed actively to the scientific program with three selected oral presentations by Catarina Pinto, Daniela Marques, and Marco Zadra, as well as three poster pitches by Diogo Moura-Louro, Inês Paiva, and Lizaveta Hilman.

                       

The team’s work received outstanding recognition:

• Daniela Marques was awarded Best Oral Presentation
• Inês Paiva was awarded Best Poster

These achievements mark a proud moment for the entire group and further highlight the international visibility of NIMSB research at a high-level scientific meeting.
