Senne Pletinckx earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Ghent University in 2025. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology with a special focus on biomedical biotechnology. As part of this program, he is conducting his master’s thesis at the VIB Center for Inflammation Research in Ghent in the research group of Prof. Dr. Sophia Maschalidi. The research focuses on efferocytosis of apoptotic cells by dendritic cells and how free-circulating or cell-surface histones can alter this process.
