Catarina Valente holds a degree in Management and a master’s in Accounting, both completed at ISCTE. Most recently, she completed a post-graduation in Data for Business at NOVA SBE.
She began her career in the automotive market at the PSA Group, where she worked as an Assistant Business Controller for three years. Following this experience, she joined NESTLÉ Portugal, working across various businesses as a Business Controller and Sales Analyst, where she stayed for seven years. Afterward, she transitioned to the APECEF group in the Education sector, serving as a Business Controller and managing stocks for three years.
Subsequently, Catarina joined Nova Medical School at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. After two years in this organizational unit, she applied to NOVA IMSB for the role of Management Controller.
Currently, she works as a Business Controller at NOVA IMSB, where her main responsibilities include:
- Annual budgeting, monthly P&L variance analysis;
- Monthly analysis of business KPIs, both financial and non-financial, essential for decision-making and strategic planning;
- Analysis and implementation of internal control measures;
- Ad-hoc management analyses to support decision-making.
