On Friday, 21 November 2025, NIMSB was represented at NOVA Day, an annual event highlighting academic achievements across NOVA University.

During the ceremony, Dr. Rute Salvador and Dr. Diogo Carregosa were awarded their doctorate medals, becoming the first NIMSB members to receive this distinction. Both completed their PhD research while working as researchers at NMS – NOVA Medical School, contributing to the institute’s scientific output and collaborative research environment.

This recognition represents an important step for NIMSB as it continues to grow its community of researchers and foster excellence in biomedical science.
