On July 25th, our talented researchers took the stage at the StartUp Research Final Graduation and Pitch Session to present their science-driven innovations—marking the culmination of their journey through the StartUp Research course held at ITQB NOVA.
Representing NIMSB, Ana Teresa Tavares, Diogo Carregosa, and Diogo Louro showcased DOUTERA, a fictional biotech startup dedicated to the development of new drugs targeting rare neurodegenerative diseases. Their pitch was delivered to an expert panel that included business mentors, innovation specialists, and venture capital representatives.
The StartUp Research course empowers researchers to explore the entrepreneurial potential of their scientific work, offering tools for innovation, business modeling, and impact-driven communication. It is part of NIMSB’s broader commitment to supporting its research community in acquiring skills that bridge science and society.
👏 Congratulations to Ana Teresa, Diogo, and Diogo for their dedication and vision. We’re excited to follow your next steps in science and innovation!
