NIMSB at the 18th Berlin Summer Meeting – Days of Scientific Exchange and Collaboratio

Berlin 2

We are delighted to share that two of our PhD students, Ana Patrícia Silva and André Santos, participated in the 18th Berlin Summer Meeting, organized by MDC-BIMSB (Max Delbrück Center – Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology).

This annual event brings together scientists working at the interface of computation and experiment, promoting cross-disciplinary exchange between early-career researchers and world-leading experts. Through hands-on sessions, presentations, and networking opportunities, Ana Patrícia and André explored how integrated approaches can address complex biomedical challenges, gaining both practical experience and valuable insights.

The meeting also featured Dr. Juliana Roscito, Scientific Manager of NIMSB at MDC-BIMSB, chaired the session “Sequencing at Scale – Tools to Decode Life’s Molecular Code”, while our Scientific Director, Prof. António Jacinto, chaired the session “Systems Medicine for a Connected World – Modeling Immune Responses and Disease Outcomes”. This participation reflects NIMSB’s commitment to driving forward the systems medicine agenda and fostering international collaboration in precision healthcare.

We are proud to see our students actively engaging in the global scientific community and look forward to seeing the knowledge and connections from this experience fuel their research journeys ahead.
